Introduction

mtd Consulting Group is actually comprised of two organisations. The first is mtd Consulting Group Ltd, a social enterprise. Our activities include organisational development, HR consulting and training aimed at promoting equal opportunities and diversity in the workplace. Our trainings are conducted in cooperation with and in the framework of the certified training course “Equal Opportunity Academy”.

Our „other leg” is mtd Consulting and Corporate Community Association which focuses on community-building and the raising of social awareness. In the framework of the Association we undertake research and organise trade events to share best practices (eg. www.eselykonferencia.hu) and also award the Diverse Organisation TOP 10 Award to promote, nurture and recognise inclusive organisational cultures open to employing invividuals who are at a disadvantage on the labour market.

Our organisation was established in 2008 and we, the founding members are individuals who wish to utilise our experience gained in the business sphere to cooperatively bring about social change.

Our projects are implemented by our uniquely skilled and continuously trained trainers and consultants, highly qualified and experienced professionals. Aside from our project-based community format, what makes us unique is that we form a bridge for cooperation between the civil and corporate sectors.  Furthermore, in the interest of the greater involvement of the corporate sector,  we apply the business mindset and terminology to find solutions to social problems.

In the past four years we have on three occasions measured employer attitudes, experiences and plans in relation to equal opportunities and diversity. Thanks to our effective marketing activities we have been able to reach far and wide with our Online benchmark studies and gain representative insight into companies’ diversity countrywide.  Based on data gathered through this research we have created the Diverse Organisation TOP 10 Award which has been handed out for the best practices in proactive equal opportunities policies in 2011 and 2013.

It should be noted amongst our acheivements that to date, representatives of 356 companies have attended our trainings and we have also trained 140 equal opportinities officers.
