The Diverse Organisation TOP 10 Award is based on the Diversity Index developed by mtd Consulting Group. This is awarded to organisations that have been placed in the top 10 spots in our biennial mtd Benchmark Study. Organisational performance related to equal opportunities and diversity is rated on a scale of 0 to 100, enabling direct comparisons between organisations’ performance. Aside from the Diversity Index we measure performance of the organisations in areas with a different focus on each occasion. In 2011 we created the Rehabilitation Index (practices of employing disabled individuals) and in 2013 the Family-friendly Index (work-life balance, family-friendly policies, employment of parents with small children). The recognition of companies with the Diverse and Family-friendly Organisaion TOP 10 award was based not only on the online survey but also on employee feedback and executive interviews.
Recipients of the award may use the Diverse Organisation TOP 10 logo for two years, until the the next benchmark study is published.
